Plantar warts

Plantar warts occur on the sole of the foot and look like calluses. They result from a viral infection. Plantar warts are like the other warts which could appear elsewhere on the human body but they grow inward because of the weight placed on the foot on weight bearing. One might experience severe pain on walking, and can have multiple or singular warts. Although plantar warts are extremely difficult to treat, their eradication has been successful achieved using various treatments such as salicylic acid, cryotherapy using liquid nitrogen and very rarely surgery.
